Broker Opinion Letter - Used by an accountant or attorney for Estate sales and some types of Deed transfers indicating the approximate value of the property.

Certified Appraisal - Independent assessment of the value of the property you are buying usually required by lenders before agreeing to finance the purchase. Also used in court proceedings for divorce cases and contested wills.
